About

I always think About pages are really difficult to write because you never know what your visitors really care to know about you. I’ll do my best to write about what I think is important about me, but if you have any other questions, head on over to the FAQ and ask me what you’d like to know!

Bobbi is a nickname for Roberta, but honestly, no one calls me that; unless, of course, I’m in trouble with my parents or someone really needs to get my attention. I just recently turned 21, and although I’m not a huge drinker, I have really enjoyed being able to order drinks when I’m out to eat. So far, my favorite drink is a Mojito, and I’m a huge fan of white wine. I’m sure everything will change as I taste more, though.

I am majoring in Criminology and minoring in Business Administration. Just like most other college students, my major has changed a few times. Criminology seems to be the perfect fit for me, and I hope to graduate in Fall 2008. Then, I’ll apply to law school. In the next year, I’m planning on writing an honors thesis. I don’t know the specifics yet, but I’m sure I’ll be blogging about it!

I live in a small apartment with my cat Romeo and my boyfriend Tom. Tom and I have been dating since 2002. I’m (not very patiently) waiting for a ring. We’ve talked about marriage since the very beginning of our relationship. As cheesy as that sounds, we just knew we were meant to be together. He is my best friend and soul mate. Romeo is the equivalent of a three year old boy. He’s needy, cuddly, loves his Mommy and Daddy, and has his favorites and major dislikes. When we move into a bigger apartment, we’re planning on adding to our “family.” We’d like a boy yellow lab puppy. That’ll be fun to watch Romeo adjust to!

I’m a huuuuuuuuuge fan of cooking. When I’m not out with friends or Tom, I’m usually watching Food Network. My favorite chef is Giada De Laurentiis, although I really like Ina Garten and Robin Miller. I’m big on healthy cooking and trying different things; for instance, I just recently tried chayote, and I loved it! From time to time, I’ll post my recipes and my cooking woes - they do occur sometimes.

In August 2006 I was diagnosed with depression and general anxiety disorder. I used to be embarrassed to talk about it, but now I’m proud that I can admit that I’ve struggled a little bit. Things are so much better, and I’m thankful for the therapy that I’ve received and that the medication I’m on works. I’m open to talking about it if you ever want to.

I don’t really know what else to say! I love fresh flowers, southern iced tea, using my elliptical, and I am an OCD cleaner. I’m telling you, my apartment is spotless! I make everyone around me crazy with it, too.
