I signed up for a program at the law school where I get a tour of the school and get to sit through a mock class – complete with an assignment and everything!
Anyway, I emailed the person who is in charge of everything inquiring about the dress code for the day. My email went like this:
“Dear Mr. ________,
What do you recommend we wear on Saturday?
Thank you!”
She responded with:
“The attire for the program is casual.
At your service,
Ms. ________.”
OMG. I feel RETARDED. It was a name that I have never heard of, and automatically assumed it was a male name. Deleting the email from my inbox made me feel a tiny bit better, but still!
