I am happy to report that I HAVE NOTHING DUE NEXT WEEK except for my regular reading (which is totally manageable).

Do you know what this means? I can actually HAVE FUN this weekend. Of course, I’ll need to read ahead for the upcoming week, but that’s nothing compared to every other weekend this semester.

Tomorrow night, my cousin is coming to spend the night with her friends. Saturday, we’re all going to the springs and enjoying a gorgeous day of floating, beer, and good friends. Sunday, I’m going to see if Tom would like to go to a garden festival in our area. I saw information about it in the local newspaper this morning and thought it would be fun to do something different. It’s only $7 per person and will have entertainment, people selling lots of different things, and food (plus beautiful gardens, hence the garden part).

Somewhere in there, I’m going to try a recipe I recently came across for Lemon Olive Oil Cake. I haven’t tried anything new and figured I would. Speaking of baking, does anyone have a particularly delicious red velvet cake recipe? My best friend’s 21st birthday is coming up and I agreed to make the cake. She requested her favorite - red velvet with cream cheese frosting - so I’m on a mission to find a recipe for it. If worse comes to worse, I’ll rely on my Joy of Cooking recipe, but I’d like to find something a little more out-of-the-ordinary.

At my doctor’s appointment, I’m going to bring up the fact that my weight has not changed at all since my last appointment in October. Well, it has, but when I lost, I gained it right back. I exercise and eat well and am just so frustrated. My mom thinks I need to see an endocrinologist to get a more in depth thyroid test. I also NEED NEED NEED to see an eye doctor! Earlier I was reading for Crim Theory and I was seeing black dots all over the pages. Even now, I’m struggling to keep my eyes focused while I type. So I need two referrals. Keeping up with doctors appointments is always a task for me.

Tomorrow night I think I’m going to spend some time working on my web site and getting things back to a way that I like them. It always seems like my web site is half finished; and I hate that feeling. My Wordpress book is sitting out so that I can refer to it (and of course Google!) so I’m on the right track!
