I made it.

April 2008

I can’t believe I made it through this week and last week unscathed. I could very well end up with 3 A’s and a B for this semester; all that work and site-ignoring paid off! When it comes to school, I’m always so motivated, and I’ve always been that way. Honestly, though, I am starting to feel a burn out coming, so the two week break before summer semester is welcomed.

Ever since I signed a lease for a 2/2 earlier in the week, I have been “mentally moved out” of my current apartment. I’ve mentally decided how my kitchen will be arranged, and can just picture coming home to Romeo and a puppy. By the way, a visitor asked what type of puppy we’re going to get. Tom has always wanted to get a yellow lab, and since this puppy is his college graduation present (from last August - it couldn’t happen any sooner because of our current apartment), he gets his wish. Plus, I’ve always wanted a big dog. I grew up with some shih tzus and a cocker spaniel, so a yellow lab will be different.

I don’t know how many of you follow my Twitter, but within a couple hours of taking my white collar crime final this morning, I was bored out of my mind. I didn’t want to read (been doing that ALL WEEK to an extreme). I played Mario Kart Wii for a total of four races and that didn’t cut it. I reformatted my mp3 player because it crapped out yesterday, which took a matter of minutes. Then I played with themes and decided on this one (isn’t it pretty? I love the colors). Romeo’s been sleeping all day and Tom doesn’t get back until a little later. Plus, I haven’t really been in the mood to hang out. I think I’m just so excited about moving out now that I actually KNOW where I’m going that I can’t stand to be in the apartment anymore.

Speaking of the apartment, it looks like a tornado came through here because I haven’t really had time to pick up. I try my best to make everything look nice (not perfect, just livable) before Tom comes home. That’s just an example of a trait that I got from my mom - my knack for cleanliness and organization!

    finally a picture! wahoo. i’m thinking about buying the hubster a wii, i haven’t decided yet. i have never played one before. i think it would be fun and interesting. i can’t wait to see pictures of the new apartment.

    Yellow labs are so freaking cute!! I’m envious. I’ve always wanted a puppy, but with my awful allergies and my anti-social, skittish cat - That won’t be possible for a while. *sniff* I hope you take lots and lots of pictures when you get him/her!

    Labs are great! I grew up with a black lab and she was love. Chocolates are my fave (and I’ve gotten my BF to love them as well, so maybe when we move into a house…) but yellows ate very All-American. :)
