Today’s Agenda

This apartment is in complete shambles right now due to the fact that we are moving into the new apartment in 9 days!  I’m so excited.  I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I have already mentally moved into our new kitchen, have mentally done the laundry, and taken the puppy out for several walks.  That sounds weird, I know, but when you know you’re moving into a seriously upgraded apartment, that is all you think about.  Well, at least I do.

Today, Tom and I need to go to Walmart to get some groceries for the week.  We’ve got the laundry going (six loads for two people - that doesn’t even include towels [we do those every other week]).  We said that we’re going to pack up another box of stuff from downstairs, remove all the pictures from the wall, and do some “spot treatment” where sticky stuff has stuck to the walls from two bulletin boards we had up.

I need my loan to come in, too.  Romeo needs more Revolution and really needs to get in for his yearly check up.  I’ve also got my credit card bills all due in the next several days.  Hopefully tomorrow it’ll be in!

Last night I could’ve slept better.  There were lots of sirens that I heard - probably police sirens.  A lot of car burglaries have been reported in this area in the last few weeks, so I’m sure all the sirens had to do with those.  Hopefully, the police were using their 5.11 gear!

I was the same way when planning to move where I live now! Congratulations!

Note on the sirens: My old neighborhood has tons a night. I slept right through them, and through the sound of loud neighbors and nightlife, and basically just background noise most of the night. My new neighborhood is so quiet at night that I had trouble sleeping the first couple weeks here. I actually thought about buying a noise machine.

I guess I would have mentally envisioned those things to if I was moving into an apartment. Congratulations though. I’m sure your loan will come in soon. I cannot sleep with sirens going off. I’m use to a quiet neighborhood and when I do hear them it’s pretty annoying, especially when you’re sleeping.

That’s awesome!! Can’t wait to see pictures of the new place. And it definitely does not sound strange, mentally living in your new apartment already. I’m in the process of (hopefully) getting a new car soon, and I’ve already mentally gone on many drives in it! lol.
