Back to School … FINALLY

I thought I was going to die of boredom these past couple weeks before fall semester started; I’m dead serious.  Besides laundry, housework, LSAT studying and taking care of Hunter, there wasn’t much else to do.  Of course I could go out to eat or for drinks with my friends, but I’m trying so hard not to be frivolous with my money right now because let’s face it, there isn’t much of it to spend!

Today is the third day of my first week of classes.  I’m taking Crime, Gender & Race, Private Securities, Criminal Law, and Business Finance.  Only three of those classes meet in person; Business Finance is online (except for the tests).  I don’t have class any earlier than 10:40am and no later than 2pm, which I love.  I’m exhausted though, because guess what?  I bought a bike!  I bike 2.4 miles to campus, and then 2.4 miles back.  My butt and legs are sore today and I didn’t know I could sweat as much as I did on the ride back yesterday, but it felt so good and I really loved doing it.

As much as I love being busy and everything, there are just some days that I wish I was five and could simply stay home and play with my dollhouses.  Life was a lot simpler back then.  I think I was more concerned about NOT wanting to take a nap than anything else, because I always thought I would miss something if I was napping.  I had an endless amount of energy and didn’t worry about anything because I knew “the adults” would take care of everything.

Then again, I love being an adult and being in charge of myself.  It’s so neat to think that I went from this little girl to a woman who supports herself entirely.  Hopefully I’ll still enjoy being an adult when my school load threatens to break my back!

Haha… I totally know how you feel! It’s been two years since I graduated high school and I’m just NOW getting back into college. I was bored for soo long, but I needed time to prepare myself and make sure I was ready.

And I agree - I’d take dollhouses over laundry and bills any day! LOL :)
