My Dad has weird ideas sometimes, and they always manage to make me laugh.
Awhile ago, we were on the phone during one of our weekly calls. I was telling him something about a particular franchise we have where I’m from and that we didn’t have any up here. I was really craving some of their chicken and salad dressing too, that day. This salad dressing is kind of like a buttermilk ranch and is TO DIE FOR because it is so yummy!
Next thing I know, my dad is telling me that he wants to look into opening a franchise up here because “it would be so popular with the college kids.” I agree, it would probably be a very profitable business – any business that involves good food, affordable prices and very short waits is popular among college students – but how would I work?
Then, he asks, “Do you know anyone that would like to help run one since I’m down here and you’re up there?” Thankfully, this was one of his Dadisms, and not an idea that he has persued any further since the initial discussion!
