YES!  Despite my weekend of not eating very healthy and drinking a lot (of tequila, especially), I managed to lose 4.2 pounds!  I drank a lot of water – more than 74 oz a day in fact – and even began going to the gym.  I have also been watching what I eat a lot more closely.

Speaking of the gym, I have made the decision to sell my elliptical and get a gym membership.  I went last night with a friend to a gym in our area and fell in love with it.  The atmosphere is so different from working out in our spare bedroom – I felt like I pushed myself more because that’s what everyone else was there to do.  The prices aren’t too cheap, but they’re not outrageous, either.

I am also signing up for a traithalon in May, to do with my friend Amy.  So the gym membership (paid for by selling my elliptical) seems like an even better idea.

I’m really happy about my progress this week.  I know it’s kind of moot weight loss (if that makes sense) because I had to lose what I had gained over the weekend/last week, but I feel better knowing that at least I can do it.  My next goal is to make it into the 170s by next week (which is totally attainable, too, I might add).
