So, it’s hump day. The week hasn’t been too bad, with exception of stupid AP Stat.

Oh yeah, and I friggen hate Candide. We finished it today and have to write a commentary about it tomorrow. A commentary about what?! I don’t even understand the damn book!

So Saturday, are having our girls day out. Too bad can’t join us! Kahunaville for lunch, and shopping for our matching preview outfits. Sawheeeet.

I’m working all this week and have the weekend off. Saturday I’ve got plans and Sunday I’m washing my car and laying out. Yay for not working on weekends!

Have a good week people :)

And with that, Spring Break is over.

I am SO sick of folding newsletters. 2300 of them to be exact. I have about 200 left to go, but I’m only doing this until 8pm so I know they won’t get done.

I’m going to get even fatter than I already am thanks to the Easter candy I got from Tom. But the cute purple Easter bunny I got makes up for it :) I knew there was a reason I love him!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and a great Easter!

Since I’m on Spring Break this week, I decided to take a few days off of work and go up to Gainesville. Sometimes I think I’m going up there too much, but then I have days like I did Thursday/Friday and I’m reminded why I like to go up there: UF and my boyfriend.

I didn’t leave Seminole until around 9:20a because I woke up late and had to run an errand for my mom. There is this little convenient store on Oakhurst that has the cheapest cigarettes, so I went there to get some for Mom. I go in, and keep in mind, I’m dressed nice because I was going to see Tom and stuff. The guy at the counter was like “Hello, do you have a picture?” when I asked for the cigs, and duh, I had my ID so I handed it to him. He proceeded to FLIRT WITH ME: “Do you live in the area? I have never seen you around” and when I said “I’ve lived here all my life I just don’t buy cigs so I don’t go into convenience stores” “Well, there are other things in here besides cigarettes!!” I was completely grossed out, but needless to say, when I got back home, my mom handed me $20 for the weekend.

Traffic on the way up wasn’t too bad. I thought it was going to be a lot worse than it was, but fortunately I made it to Gainesville by noon. It was SUCH a pretty day! And I was proud because I got off the right exit and drove straight to Tom’s apartment. I’m directionally challenged (getting around downtown St. Pete is HELL for me) so Gainesville is probably 10x more hard for me to find my way around than anyone else. That’ll change once I live up there though.

So once I got to the apartment, Tom and I went to the Reitz Union to get lunch. We had Wendy’s and then drove around for a little bit just so I could re-familiarize myself with the campus again. Last time I went up was in January, but we didn’t get to go on campus much (I forget why). We hung around the apartment and watched JFK until around 5 or so, and then left for the fraternity for dinner. I’ve never had dinner at the fraternity, so I was kinda nervous about it. In the end, it was NOTHING like I expected it to be. That’s all I’ll say about that.

Tom had an exam at 8:30, and we had a couple hours, so we walked around campus. He made me ride the bus, too. Well, he rode it with me, but still. I hate buses for some reason, and since he knows this, he wanted me to see how convenient it was with a bus vs. the inconvenience of walking. Now I can say I’ve actually ridden a bus. And, I’ve almost toppled over thanks to the CRAZY bus driver!

When he left for his exam, I didn’t want to walk around campus by myself because it was night time (and I got whistled at while we were walking…. weird), so I drove to Oaks Mall. From Buckman! It was practically a straight road to get there, but still, I was very proud! I made it back by myself too. There was a weird detour at … yeah, I don’t remember the road, haha. So I turned right and saw Radio Road, and since I knew what that was, I found Tom again, haha!!!

Yesterday was rainy and gross, and driving home was sucky (except for me and Tom being in really funky moods because of the weather and acting goofy… did I just say funky?), but we made it home in 4 hrs.

It was a really good trip. I feel much better about getting around campus and everything. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still really afraid of getting lost up there, but we’ll be okay.

Yay for UF :)
