This livejournal is such a waste of space. Seriously - I never post anything interesting, and no one ever comments! Whatever.

This week is starting off to bed bad - already, I have skipped 2 classes, and tomorrow I can’t go to my 1:55p because I have to take Tom to his doctor’s appointment. Thursday I’m going for sure though - to all 3.

I have a research paper due on Monday that is going to be the death of me even though it’s only 5-8 pages long. I have part of what I’d like to write about, but I can’t find an alternate viewpoint to contrast with. I’m doing America’s right to privacy and how it has been affected by the War on Terrorism; more specifically, the USA Patriot Act. I can only find information that supports the fact that it is doing more harm to American privacy rights than good. Maybe I’ll just run with that and see where I end up.

Had a great weekend with Jodi and Mom. Jodi came up Saturday, Mom came up Sunday. We all went out to eat at Stonewood’s and then Jodi left. After that, Mom and I went to the mall, came back to wash/dry my sheets, went to Swamp to watch the rest of the Bucs game, and then home. I spent the night at Tom’s, and went to work yesterday until 10:45. Mom and I went to lunch at Ballyhoo’s where we met this really nice girl (good waitress too!) who was a LOT like me. We had Bananas Foster for dessert, it was out of this world. Who cares if I’m going to gain a million pounds from it, right? Mom left after we went over to look at Tom’s apartment.

It’s been a pretty boring week; nothing exciting. Other than the fact that I’m desperately fighting off this stupid cold!!!

Getting ready to watch a movie on my laptop - I can’t decide between Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman, Without a Paddle, The Notebook, or Dodgeball. Hmm…

Anyway, this has been the best week ever - honestly. Good enough to be on VH1 (har har har). All last weekend, Tom and I were fighting. He promised to call, and never did; etc. etc. etc. On Sunday while my mom and I were driving back from Palm Island, I absolutely let him have it. Then, he told me that he tore his MCL, and needed to go to the emergency room. I went into freak out mode because I always worry about him (girls, you know how you love your men!) and was going 90 all the way back up to Gainesville. By the time I got back, he had already been to the infirmary (much quicker than the ER) and was back home. And I have been taking care of him ever since! In the beginning of the week he couldn’t drive or really get around, so I spent the night with him to make sure he would be okay. In the process of taking care of him, it kind of turned into a relationship week - neither of us wanted to do anything else but spend time together. It was amazing, to say the least. We got so much talking done - what we want out of our relationship, how we have become so strong, how we want things to stay as perfect as they are right now. It’s almost like Tom read “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” or something - he did everything and more for me this week, without even knowing that he was doing it. It was like a much needed vacation too - I skipped all my classes (totally my decision; I’m in a serious rut with school), and just soaked up my time with him. So, to those of you who have been wanting to talk, hang out, or whatever, sorry. I was a little preoccupied. Things will be back to normal next week though…

Jodi is coming in to Gainesville tomorrow, and is staying through Sunday. Then, Mom should be here Sunday afternoon, and she is staying until Monday night. I’m so excited!!! I didn’t get to see Jodi but for a few minutes last weekend, and she hasn’t seen my new dorm room or really gotten a chance to see much of UF yet. And Mom, well, I always love seeing my mother :)

Need to buckle down on schoolwork. I feel like I’m not cut out for college, to be quite honest. It feels like it is a thousand times harder for me to make the decision to go to class than it is for most people. If ya have any words of encouragement, now would be the time, ladies and gents.

Off to watch …. a movie. Niiiight.

I found the most kick ass layout ever; this is by far one of my FAVORITE lj layouts.

What’s been going on this week?

1) Tom tore his right MCL, so it’s been really fun letting him play gimp while I play caregiver. It’s given us lots of time to spend together and it’s really nice, we both enjoy it :)
2) THE WEDDING WAS GREAT THIS WEEKEND!!! I taught my mom how to booty dance to “Lose Control” by Missy Elliot and she kept me double fisting the entire night!
3) I have the most amazing stepdad in the world
4) Fuck Latin, I’m dropping it like there’s no tomorrow!
5) Going to VA for Christmas for a week!
6) My closet smells like syrup - spilled it all over last night
7) Made my very first meal last night, and it was really good - sloppy joes, salad, and green beans w/ almonds!
8) I got an 82 on my communications exam; skipped class today but when I checked my email, it said class was cancelled anyway :-D

Anyone in Gainesville who lives in an apt - please recommend one! I’m going to live off campus next year

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad.

When you’re finished, post these instructions on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

So, things have been pretty busy; obviously, considering I haven’t posted anything in my lj OR my xanga. Things are going pretty well though. Last week I had two exams - one for math, and one for Latin. I got a B on my math exam, which was MUCH NICER to see than the 65% I got on the first exam in that class. I got my latin exam grade back yesterday, and I got a 74 - worse than what I did the first time. I decided, though, that instead of killing myself to try and get through Latin II, I’m just going to take Spanish I and II starting next semester. Those will both be VERY easy grades for me, so they’ll help boost my GPA.

We had amazing weather here last week. Earlier in the week it was FREEZING, to the point that on Tuesday, I had to go out and buy another pair of jeans and a glove/hat/scarf set. And, I bought some boots that I might not have needed, persay, but they’ll be a good investment, right Colleen? I took her out to lunch and bought her a pair of really cute heels for her birthday which is tomorrow! I’m very excited to meet your beau and have our boys meet, that’ll be fun :) And of course, who could pass up Chili’s?!

Thursday I have my com exam which I have barely studied for. Tom left for the hunt camp yesterday after class and won’t get back until “90 minutes after sunset” (lol have no clue why it’s so precise, but whatever) and so I thought I’d have a really good opportunity to study, but I didn’t last night. Amanda came in the door weezing really bad, and it turns out she bit down on a Reese’s pieces cup that was in some ice cream at Gator Dining. So, we went to visit the ER last night. I hate the ER with a passion because of all the things that you could possibly see there. There was a crazy man who had been there for 5 hours after being “hit by a jeep.” He kept calling EVERYONE he could think of that he’d ever met; even some person in Georgia! He would leave messages like, “This is Don ____, remember me? Yeah well I’m in the hospital ER at Shands in Florida, could you come help me?” It was pretty weird. Not to mention, he was loud and obnoxious, too. There was another little boy who was throwing up, a woman who obviously was in shock or having a severe panic attack, a woman who couldn’t keep her little boy still (the white trash-y type), and a black family who sat there watching Raven and laughing. That part was cute, hehe. OH, and there was a third little boy, who kept saying to his mom, “Mommy, will you hold me? Mommy hold me please!” Amanda and I thought it was adorable. She ended up feeling much better after the hour wait, so we just decided to get up and leave.

Tom and I are doing very well. He wrote me the nicest email last week, saying how he thinks he had his “guy period” or whatever, haha. Gotta love him for trying.

OH! I can’t believe I almost forgot! Tom’s sister is pregnant :) It’s their first child, and I am sooo excited. I called Mandy on Saturday (Tom said I should give her a call after I got off work) and she just came out and said “You’re going to be an aunt!” I still can’t believe it. The hard part now is waiting until June…

Alright, off to communications, grocery shopping, and lots of studying today. Have a good Tuesday!

, I have been meaning to send you a thank you card but I have been so busy. Expect something soon!
